IR Society: Valuation Essentials for IR Professionals

This hands on course will provide an in-depth understanding of the major valuation methodologies used by financial analysts. It is suitable for IR practitioners who have a sound understanding of accounting, an interest in valuation and some basic excel skills. This course is an essential precursor to the Financial Modelling training which expands on how analysts go about forecasting financial statements to provide the cashflow data to underpin the valuation.

  • The valuation ‘toolkit’ used by analysts
  • The dividend discount model as the fundamental model
  • Going from dividends to free cashflow – DCF models
