The Role of DIRF in the Danish Capital Market

DIRF (Danish Investor Relations Association) is a member-based professional association and networking forum for individuals working within Investor Relations (IR) in Denmark. The association brings together IR professionals from listed and non-listed companies, advisers, and service providers involved in IR activities.

DIRF’s purpose is to promote high-quality Investor Relations practices and to support the development of best practice in communication between listed companies and the investment community. This is achieved by fostering open dialogue, transparency, and professional standards in IR communication in Denmark and internationally.
DIRF has approximately 350 individual members representing around 100 member companies. These include listed companies, other corporates, advisers, and suppliers supporting Investor Relations. The listed member companies together represent around 95% of the total market value of the Danish stock market.
DIRF offers a wide range of professional activities, including thematic meetings, expert presentations, networking events, company visits, development initiatives, and an annual Investor Relations conference. In addition, DIRF provides advisory support and facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experience among its members.
Yes, DIRF works closely with authorities, organizations, and associations relevant to Investor Relations, such as those involved in investment, equity analysis, and capital markets regulation. This collaboration helps ensure that members stay informed about regulatory developments and market best practices.
DIRF is an active participant in an international network of Investor Relations associations, including Nordic IR organizations, NIRI in the United States, the IR Society in the United Kingdom, and DIRK in Germany. These relationships support knowledge sharing and alignment with international IR standards.
